We’re thrilled to announce that Woven Farewell Coffins has won the Best Green Business award at the Best Businesswomen Awards, a recognition that highlights our commitment to creating eco‑friendly, sustainable funeral options for families across the UK.

This award celebrates female‑led businesses making a meaningful impact, and we’re honoured to be recognised among such inspiring entrepreneurs. For us, winning Best Green Business is more than an achievement—it’s lovely to be validated in our intention to offer environmentally friendly coffins.

At Woven Farewell Coffins, we specialise in handcrafted, natural coffins made from sustainable materials, providing families and funeral directors with a gentle, authentic alternative to traditional funeral products. Every coffin is woven with care, using techniques that reduce environmental impact while supporting a greener approach to end‑of‑life choices. As more people seek green funerals and biodegradable options, we’re proud to be at the forefront of this important shift. Did you know, a massive 80% of people are intersted in a greener goodbye?

Some of the practices that really stood out for the BBWA were our use of corn starch liners, our partnerships with local companies for our willow and timber materails, and the reusable cotton bags when we need to use a courier.

We’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our customers, partners, and supporters. Your belief in sustainable funeral practices has helped us reach this milestone, and we’re excited to continue leading the way in eco‑conscious funeral solutions.
